Now that campfire season is officially upon us we figured it would be useful to make some “fire starters”.  I used to do this “back in the day” when I was a Girl Guide and figured it would be fun for the kids to give it a try.

We used a cardboard egg carton as the mold, filled each section with dryer lint and topped it off with melted wax.  To make it easy to light, we added a piece of wick to each section.  Once they were cooled off we just cut the sections apart and voilà, very practical craft!
