This year we hosted a Valentine’s Day party for some our homeschooling friends.  It was so much fun!  All the families pitched in to make the day a big success.
We started off our party watching a very informative Youtube Video on the Science of Chocolate and afterward discussed what we learned and made our own chocolates  using molds.  Next we worked together as a group to solve a mathematical Valentine’s Mystery.  It was fun too and it was great to see the older kids helping the younger ones.  Afterwards we played our own version of “A Minute to Win it”.  That was side splitting entertainment for sure as the kids took turns trying to perform goofy tasks like trying to get a cookie from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands.  It was a lot of fun!

Each family brought along some tasty treats to share, including this Valentine’s punch, complete with heart shaped ice cubes.

We concluded our party with our Valentine exchange.  Everyone went home with a bag full of very special Valentines, a helium filled balloon and many happy memories.
